then press the SET/DEMO key.
"PLAY" : The source will played at the
adjusted volume before entering the
STANDBY mode.
"AI PLAY" : The playback volume will in-
crease gradually after the start of timer
playback.

ber of the desired station, then
press the SET/DEMO key.
This operation is not required when an input
source other than "TUNER" is selected.

7 Execution

Press the TIMER key on the
remote repeatedly so that
the program number to be
executed ("PROG.1" or
"PROG. 2") is lit.

Press the POWER key to
put the unit in the STANDBY
mode.
When the timer program is activated and
the unit enters the STANDBY mode, the
STANDBY/TIMER indicator lights in green.
When the set ON time comes, the timer
program is executed and playback starts.

To cancel program timer :
Press the TIMER key on the remote so that
"PROG.1" and "PROG.2" are not lit.
To check or change the timer setting :
Restart the procedure from step 1 again.
÷ Be sure to adjust the time of the day (page 10)
before using the timer functions.
÷ The program timer cannot be used for program
playback of CD or MD.
÷ PROG.1 and PROG.2 should be set so that their
operating periods do not overlap. Leave at least 1
minute of interval between the two programs.
÷ The program timer setting is held in memory even
after it is canceled. The program timer setting
remains in memory unless it is newly set again.
÷ If the STANDBY/TIMER indicator is blinking in
green, the timer setting may be erroneous or the
time of the day is not adjusted. Re-set the appli-
cable item.
