Moving several
tracks at a time
Use the following procedure to select up to
32 tracks you want to move in the desired
sequence and move them together. The
track numbers are adjusted automatically.

Select the MD input and in-
sert a recordable MD.
If the MD is already playing, press the 7
STOP key to stop playback.

Press the TRACK EDIT key repeat-
edly until "3 Q. MOVE ?" is dis-
played, then press the SET key.
If "X Q.MOVE" is displayed, the subsequent
operation will not be available (see page 53).

Press the 4 or ¢ key re-
peatedly to select one of the
track numbers to be moved,
then press the SET key.
Select other track numbers in the desired
sequence by repeating this step for each track.
If you commit a mistake, press the CLEAR/DELETE
key to clear the track number and restart selection.

After selecting the desired
tracks in the desired se-
quence, press the ENTER key.

Press the 4 or ¢ key repeat-
edly to select the move destina-
tion position where you want to
insert the quick-moved tracks.

Press the SET key.

Press the ENTER key.

Eject the MD.
"WRITING" is displayed.
Display when 2 tracks are inserted between tracks
5 and 6.
To cancel the Q. MOVE operation in the middle :
Press the TRACK EDIT key any time before
the end of step 6.
Editing can be canceled provided that it is at-
tempted before "WRITING" is displayed. For the
procedure, see "Canceling editing" (page 44).

Be careful not to apply vibration to the unit while
"WRITING" is displayed, because the MD recorder is
writing recorded and edited data in the MD in this period.
Also, to avoid loss of recorded and edited data, do not
unplug the power cord before "WRITING" disappears.
