aparticularpinhasinternalcontrolregisterstodeterminethepinfunctionandwhetheritisaninputoran
output.
TheC672xdevicedetermineswhetheraparticularpinisaninputoroutputbaseduponthefollowing
rules:
•Thepinwillbeconfiguredasanoutputifitisconfiguredasanoutputinanyoftheperipheralssharing
thepin.
•Itisrecommendedthatonlyoneperipheralconfigureagivenpinasanoutput.Ifmorethanone
peripheraldoesconfigureaparticularpinasanoutput,thentheoutputvalueiscontrolledbythe
peripheralwithhighestpriorityforthatpin.TheprioritiesforeachpinaregiveninTable3-5.
•Thevalueinputonthepinispassedtoallperipheralssharingthepinforinputsimultaneously.
