7 Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly until the desired sound
source appears.
Each time you press the button, the
indication changes cyclically as follows:

8 Press ENTER/YES on the remote.
The start time, the stop time, and the sound
source appear in turn, before the original
display returns.
9 Press ?/1 to turn off the system.

Notes
You cannot activate the Daily Timer and recording
timer at the same time.
If you use the Daily Timer and the Sleep timer at
the same time, the Sleep Timer has priority.
Do not operate the system from the time the system
turns on until the play starts (about 30 seconds
before the preset time).
If the system is on about 30 seconds before the
preset time, the Daily Timer will not be activated.
You cannot use the optional component connected
to ANALOG IN jacks or DIGITAL OPTICAL IN
jack as the sound source for Daily Timer.
Do this
1Press CLOCK/TIMER
SELECT on the remote, then
press . or > on the
remote until “DAILY
SELECT” appears.
2Press ENTER/YES on the
remote.
Start over from step 1. If you
made a mistake, press
TCURSOR in step 5 to 7 to
select the setting you want to
change, then change the setting.
1Press CLOCK/TIMER
SELECT on the remote, then
press . or > on the
remote until “TIMER OFF?”
appears.
2Press ENTER/YES on the
remote.
Timer recording radio
programs
To timer record, you must first preset the radio
station (see “Presetting radio stations” on page
41) and set the clock (see “Setting the clock”
on page 8).
1 Tune in the preset radio station (see
“Listening to the radio” on page 42).
2 Press CLOCK/TIMER SET on the
remote.
3 Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly to select “MD REC SET” or
“TAPE REC SET”, then press ENTER/
YES on the remote.
“ON” appears and the hour indication
flashes.
4 Set the time to start recording.
Press . or > on the remote repeatedly
to set the hour, then press ENTER/YES on
the remote.
The minute indication flashes.
Press . or > on the remote repeatedly
to set the minute, then press ENTER/YES
on the remote.
“OFF” appears and the hour indication
flashes again.
5 Set the time to stop recording following
the same procedure as step 4.
6 When you record on an MD, press .
or > on the remote repeatedly to
select the recording mode (e.g., LP2),
then press ENTER/YES on the remote.
The timer recording settings appear, then
the original display returns.
7 Load a recordable MD or tape.
8 Press ?/1 to turn off the system.
