USING EXTERNAL UNITS
■ Connecting external units
Before connecting external units, set this unit to the stand-by mode and turn off the power to the external units.

Note:
● When audio output signals of an external unit
are connected to this unit, oscillation may occur.
In such a case, disconnect either the input or
output connection.
Note about making digital copies
This product has a mechanism to keep you from mak-
ing digital copies of a MiniDisc (digital input) that was
originally recorded from a CD. This is a requirement of
the SCMS (Serial Copy management System).
● Analogue recording of such a MiniDisc is possible
using the analogue input.
■ Headphones
● Before plugging in or unplugging the headphones,
make sure the volume level is reduced.
● Be sure your headphones have a 3.5 mm (1/8")
diameter plug and are between 16 ohms and 50
ohms impedance. The recommended impedance
is 32 ohms.
● When headphones are connected, the speakers are dis-
abled automatically. Adjust the VOLUME control for the
desired volume.
