■ APMS recording from CDs onto MiniDiscs
You can select your favourite tracks from CDs and record them
onto three consecutive MiniDiscs.
1 Select tracks for APMS playback. (Page 29)
2 Load recordable MiniDiscs.
3 Press the CD MD EDIT button.
● APMS playback will start, and recording will start on MD 1
automatically.
● Programmed tracks will be recorded in order. After the unit
has finished recording the last track, recording will stop auto-
matically.
● If a MiniDisc runs out of room whilst recording in the middle
of a CD track, the unit will automatically start recording from
the beginning of the track onto the next MD.
To stop recording:
Press the ■ button.

● It is not possible to pause in the recording mode.
Note:
● When repeat play or random play has been set, if you press
the CD MD EDIT button, the play mode will be cancelled,
and APMS recording will start.
■ Recording from the built-in radio onto
MiniDiscs
When three MiniDiscs are loaded, you can make an extended
recording from MD 1 through MD 3.
1 Tune in to the desired station. (pages 15 - 16.)
2 Load recordable MiniDiscs.
3 Press the MD REC ● button.
● The unit will enter the recording stand-by mode.
Note:
● Before recording an AM broadcast, enter the recording stand-
by mode, and then separate the AM loop aerial from the main
unit. Adjust it so that the AM broadcast can be tuned in most
clearly.
4 Check the recordable time by pressing the DISPLAY button.
5 Press the button.
● Recording will start from MD 1, and MD 2 and MD 3 will be
recorded in order.
When the available recording time on MD 3 is consumed, MD
3 will stop automatically.
● During recording, you cannot change the station.

To record the track number whilst recording:
The recording is performed as a single track.
To identify different sections of a recording you can increase the
track number at any point during the recording process. To create
a new track number, whilst in the recording mode, press the MD
REC ● button.
● The track number will increase by one, and then the recording
will continue.
To stop recording:
Press the ■ button.
