System Overview
1. INTRODUCTION
The Pelco CM9760-GUI Graphics Controller is a new development in CCTV user interfaces. The Graphic
Controller replaces a mimic panel with a windows based graphics system run on a PC.
The Graphic Controller contains maps that are used as backgrounds for installation/sites. Multiple maps
can be used to represent divided or multistory complexes. Buttons are programmed onto these maps. When
a button is clicked with the mouse, it activates a camera/monitor switch, or loads a new map onto the
screen.
This manual details installation and operation instructions for the CM9760-GUI Graphic Controller pro-
gram.
1.1 MAIN FEATURES
The main features of the CM9760-GUI Graphic Controller program are:
Maps are designed by the site administrator to represent any desired layout. These maps are drawn
using any standard draw/paint package.
Programming of buttons and setting of workstation parameters are restricted to operators with the
Administrator password.
Commands and windows can be restricted from operators.
Various camera-switching options are available to suit the requirements of operators.
Pan/tilt/zoom facilities can be controlled, auxiliary functions operated and preset positions selected
on cameras that possess these features.
Alarms can be armed/disarmed and reset when they have been triggered.
1.2 OPTIONAL FEATURES
Optional features that increase the functionality of the Graphics Controller program include:
A scaleable Video window that provides VGA resolution color pictures. An optional video card is
required for this option.
Warning sounds are produced when alarms are triggered or system errors occur.
