Operation
4. INTRODUCTION
This chapter details how to operate a CM9760-GUI system using the Pelco Graphic Controller program.
The Pelco CM9760-GUI Graphic Controller is a Windows based program. Some training may be required if
the operator is unfamiliar with Window programs.
Not all windows and features detailed in this chapter may be available to operators. The Administrator pos-
sesses the ability to restrict features as he deems necessary (refer to Work Station Set Up).
4.1
MAIN FEATURES
The Graphic Controller program provides the ability to:
Select any camera connected to the system; provided access has been allocated (see Allocating Cam-
eras — 9760-MGR manual).
Maneuver controllable cameras.
Control pan/tilt/zoom facilities, operate auxiliary functions and select preset positions on cameras
that possess these features.
Arm/disarm and reset alarms when they have been triggered.
Select GPIs and turn relays ON/OFF.
Load, halt and program Macros.
Pause, save, and reload pictures displayed in the video window.
4.1.1 Before Starting
Before starting this chapter, it is assumed that:
The 9760 system is operational.
Setup files have been programmed using the 9760 Setup program.
The Graphic Control program has been setup by the Administrator (refer to Chapter 3).
The following information should be available:
The operator’s PIN.
The logical camera number list.
In addition, the following information may be useful:
A list of all Macros.
Lists of all General Purpose Interfaces (GPIs) complete with auxiliary key details.
A logical alarm number list.
The above information should be available from your manager or the security supervisor.
