3. Position the mouse arrow in the control area (refer to figure 4-6 for the Camera Control window
or figure 4-10 for the Video window). The position of the mouse arrow determines the direction
the camera will be moved in.
4. When the mouse arrow is in the correct position, press and hold down the left mouse button. The
camera will move in the direction the mouse arrow is in.
Moving the mouse while the left mouse button is depressed will change the direction of camera
movement.
5. When the camera reaches the desired position, release the left mouse button.
4.6.4 Controlling Functions on a Camera
When a camera is selected in the Camera Control window or displayed in the Video window, the zoom, fo-
cus and iris features on the camera can be controlled.
NOTE: Only cameras connected to camera receiver/driver and fitted with zoom lenses and
iris/focus motors can be controlled remotely.
To focus on objects at a distance:
⇒ Position the mouse arrow above s in the Focus box, then click the left mouse button until the de-
sired picture is displayed.
To focus on objects close to the camera:
⇒ Position the mouse arrow above t in the Focus box, then click the left mouse button until the de-
sired picture is displayed.
NOTE: If a cameras’ BACK FOCUS is faulty, focus will not operate correctly. To check BACK
FOCUS, direct the camera at an object in the distance. Click s in the Zoom box, until the view is as
close as possible. Focus the object, then click t in the Zoom box, until the view is as wide as possi-
ble. The object should still be in focus. If the object is out of focus, BACK FOCUS is faulty.
To zoom in (get a closer view of an object or area):
⇒ Click on the Arrow up in the Zoom box until the desired picture is displayed.
⇒ Position the mouse in the display area and press the right mouse button until the desired picture is
displayed.
To zoom out (get a wider view of an object or area):
⇒ Click on the arrow down in the zoom box until the desired picture is displayed.
⇒ Position the mouse in the display area and press the middle mouse button until the desired picture
is displayed.
To make the picture brighter:
⇒ Click on the arrow up in the iris box until the desired brightness is reached.
To make the picture darker:
⇒ Click on the arrow down in the iris box until the desired brightness is reached.
