NOTE: If a button is placed on top of another button, only the top button can be activated
in normal operation. When the black rectangle is the correct size, release the left mouse button.
A button will appear on the map. This button cannot be resized any more. Refer to Removing But-
tons if the placement is incorrect. The number on the button is the physical number of the button.
The color of the button corresponds with its function:
gray = camera/Macro button.
red = alarm button.
yellow = area button.
NOTE: If unusually shaped buttons are required, multiple buttons can be placed on the map and
then programmed to complete the same action; e.g., load the same map.
9. Repeat Steps 6 to 9 to add more buttons. Up to 80 Camera/Mimic buttons, 24 Area buttons and 30
Alarm buttons can be added to each map.
10. When complete, select Stop Placing from the button menu option.
11. To add another type of button, repeat Steps 5 to 10.
12. When complete, save the file (refer to Saving Files).
NOTE: If you attempt to to exceed the number of buttons allowed per map a “Limited to xx buttons”
warning will appear on the screen.
3.5.2 Removing Buttons
To delete a button from a map:
1. Log on to the system using the Administrator password.
2. If buttons on the map currently displayed need to be removed, go to Step 4. If buttons on another
map need to be removed, go to Step 3.
3. To load another map, complete Steps 3 to 6 from Loading Files.
4. Select the required delete option from the Button menu:
Delete Cam/Mim to remove camera/Macro buttons.
Delete Area to remove area buttons.
Delete Alm to remove alarm buttons.
5. The Delete Button window will appear.
6. a) To delete all buttons:
Click on >>All. All button numbers will move from the From List to the Delete List.
Click on OK. Go to Step 7.
b) To delete selected buttons:
Position the mouse cursor over the button number that needs to be removed, then press the
left hand mouse button to highlight the number.
When the required button number is highlighted, click on >>. The button number will
move from the From List to the Delete List.
