Timer operation
Setting the O.T.T. timer
Timer playback which occurs only once and only for an hour can be programmed by simply setting the start time.
The timer playback reproduces the source selected at the last time the unit is turned off at the last set volume.
The timer makes it possible to play a CD or MD, re-
ceive radio or record CD or radio automatically in the
specified time zone. The O.T.T. timer works only once
when it is activated, the SLEEP timer switches power
off (Standby mode) automatically even after you fall
asleep, and the PROG. timer provides two timer pro-
grams which work every day once they are activated.
1Select the desired source and adjust its volume.
The program timer does not operate during
playback by the O.T.T. timer.
To cancel O.T.T.
÷ Switch the power ON and press the TIMER key repeat-
edly until “O.T.T.” disappears.
÷ When the TIMER key is pressed repeatedly until
“O.T.T.” disappears after the start of O.T.T. timer
playback, this will be changed to normal playback.
5 ON time setting
÷ The ON time can be set in steps of 5 minutes.

7 Select “ON” or “OFF” by rotating the volume/
multi-control knob, then press the set key.
8 Press the key to switch the power OFF
(standby).
(The /timer indicator lights in amber.)
After setting the timer, make sure that the power is
set to OFF (Standby).

÷ The remote control unit can be used only to set the timer
activation ON or OFF. The time setting should be per-
formed on the main unit.

Each press switch the modes as follows.
TIMER
÷ Even if the O.T.T. timer is set for the digital AUX input
(external source), the MD will be played if an MD is left inside
the main unit.
Remote control unit operation
3 Rotate the volume/multi-control knob to select
“TIMER SET ?”, then press the set key.
2 Press the menu/demo key.
4 Rotate the volume/multi-control knob to select
“O.T.T. ?”, then press the set key.
6 Press the set key.
5 Set the timer ON time by rotating the volume/
multi-control knob.
