One-touch edit high-speed all-track recording (O.T.E.) (HIGH SPEED)
Records a CD onto an MD in a short period. (Main unit only)
High-speed recording of all tracks in a CD
Be sure to put the MD recorder in stop mode
1 Insert a recordable disc into the MD recorder.
2 Insert disc in the CD player.
Make the preparations for recording.
Check the current play mode of the CD player.
Start recording.
If it is in play mode, stop it.

1 Press the menu/demo key.
2 Rotate the volume/multi-control knob to select
“CD=MD O.T.E. ?”, then press the set key.
3 Select “HIGH SPEED” by rotating the volume/
multi-control knob, then press the set key to start
high-speed recording.
After recording , eject the MD.

To interrupt a recording
(Recording and playback will be stopped.)
÷ High-speed recording starts with the first track in the CD and
continues until the last track.
÷ When either high-speed CD playback or MD high-speed
recording stops, the other operation also stops.
÷ The digital input is recorded automatically.
Turning the knob switches the display contents.
1 NORMAL SPEED (normal-speed recording)
2 HIGH SPEED (high-speed recording)
÷ During high-speed recording, the CD playback audio is played
at a high speed and low volume.
÷ If you are operating the remote, press the MD O.T.E. key.
(Only “NORMAL SPEED” recording is available from the
remote control unit.)

÷ When “HIGH SPEED” is selected in step 3, “¶ 8
is displayed for a few seconds until actual record-
ing starts. If the high-speed recording is canceled
by pressing the 7 STOP key in this period, high-
speed recording of the same disc can be started
without waiting for more 74 minutes.
One high-speed recording starts, it is not permitted
to record the same disc with high-speed recording
for 74 minutes after the start of recording. If you
want to record the same disc immediately, use
normal-speed recording.
While “WRITING” is displayed, do not apply
shock or vibration to the unit because infor-
mation is being written on the Mini Disc.
