e MATE features over 400 screens for viewing power system status and adjusting its values. e screens are accessible in
a series of categorized menus (for example, METERS, WARNING, BATTERY, etc.). By knowing the categories, it’s easier to
nd a specic screen. Screens display locations within the system, values and set points, some of which can be changed using
<DEC> and <INC> commands; ports, to which components are connected; on/o and yes/no options; and initiating or
stopping certain functions and activities. e following menu guide oers quick access to the MATE screens.

e MATE SETUP
screens include CLOCK,
CNT (contrast), GLOW,
SUMRY (summary), and
COMM (communica-
tion)
CLOCK screens:
u date and time
CONTRAST screens:
u percentage values for
contrast
GLOW screens:
u percentage of backlight
and whether the back-
light is in ON, OFF, or
AUTO mode
u amount of time the
backlight is on
SUMMARY screens:
u type of summary
displayed (FX, CC, DC)
and display time
COMMUNICATION

u connect with a PC

As components are added
or removed and rein-
stalled for maintenance,
the MATE must REPOLL
to nd the components.
e PC function allows
the system to be moni-
tored via a computer. e
DEBUG function resets
the MATE if any commu-
nication errors occur.
