Updating appliance firmware
You can manually update appliance firmware. You can also update appliance firmware remotely (see
Updating appliance firmware remotely below).
g To manually update appliance firmware
1. Go to smarttech.com/downloads, scroll to Interactive product systems with appliance, and
then download the latest appliance firmware file to a USB drive.
2. Connect the USB drive to the appliance.
3. Access the configuration settings menu (see Configuration settings menu on page 15), and
then press the Administration tab.
4. Select Update, and then follow the on-screen instructions to update the appliance firmware.
Updating appliance firmware remotely
You can configure the appliance to receive remote firmware updates through your Windows network.
You can also monitor the progress of the updates through the Windows Management Instrumentation
(WMI).
Configuring and deploying remote firmware updates
You can configure your appliance to look for updates at a specific path, and then deploy updates from
that location.
g To configure remote firmware updates
1. Create a folder on anetwork share to save appliance firmware update files.
2. Access the configuration settings menu (see Configuration settings menu on page 15), and
then press the Administration tab.
3. Select Enable remote update.
4. Select the frequency and time of day to check for updates from the drop-down menus.
5. Type the UNC path to the folder created in step 1 above.
