2) Type the directory pathname for one of your directories and press Return.
Note: The names of these directories, if any, are listed on the Upgrade Planning Form on
page 7.
The prompt is redisplayed.
3) Perform one of the following steps:
– If you have more directories, repeat Step 2.
– If you have defined all additional directories, press Return without defining
any value.

– If you are backing up to tape, insert a tape into the tape device, type the name for your
tape device, and press Return.
– If you are backing up to a disk file, type the full pathname for your disk file and press
Return.
The following messages and prompt are displayed to confirm the backup of the
configuration and additional directories:

The specified directories are backed up. If you are backing up to a tape, the following
message and prompt are displayed:
Please enter the backup device for your system:
If device is a disk file create the file first before continuing.

The following directories will be backed up on <dump device>:
