Recording from the radio or a CD

4 Press RECREC MODE (z on the
remote).
The player stands by for recording.
5 Press MD u (MD N or MD X on
the remote).
Recording will be made from the last
recorded position.
6 Press CD u (CDN on the remote).
To stop recording
Press MD x.
To pause recording
Press MD u (MD X on the remote). Press
the button again to resume recording.
Notes
After you stop recording,
do not disconnect the
mains lead or move the player while
TOC EDIT is flashing in the display. If
you do so, recording may not be done properly.
If you turn up the volume too high, sound
skipping may occur.

To add track marks during recording, press
RECREC MODE where you want to add track
marks.
To add track marks after recording, see
Dividing a recorded track into two tracks on
page 27.
When recording a CD using RECREC MODE,
you cannot use the high-speed recording
function.
Extending the recording
time (Monaural recording)
If you choose to record in monaural, the
recording time becomes double the normal
mode; however, the recorded sound will lose
the real sound presence to some extent.
Choose recording mode accordingly.

1 Prepare the music source you want to
record.

CD Insert a CD, and press CD x.
RADIO Tune in the station.
GAME Turn on the component
(LINE) connected to LINE IN.
Press GAME (LINE)
LINE LEVEL until GAME
(LINE) appears in the display.
2 Insert a recordable MD.
3 Press and hold RECREC MODE (z
on the remote) until Stereo REC
flashes in the display.
