Using the level sync function
2 Press the MULTI JOG dial.
Pressing the YES button provides the same
operation.
Setting the level sync level
When the level sync function is turned on, the track
numbers are automatically adjusted through the
detection of music and digital signals during
recording. The CDR-201A enables you to set the
detection level of the sound used to signal the
changes between tracks.
1 Press the EDIT/NO button and turn the
MULTI JOG dial until "L. Sync. Lvl?"
appears.

3 Turn the MULTI JOG dial to select the
desired level.

You can select a setting between 30 and 60
decibels in 2-decibel increments.
4 Press the MULTI JOG dial.
Pressing the YES button provides the same
operation.

Memo:
The initial settings are 46 decibels for analog
recording and 52 decibels for digital recording.
The level settings can be made separately for
each input source.
If a new track is not numbered when the silent
gap between tracks in the recording source is
reached, increase the level setting. Similarly, if
tracks are numbered at locations where there is
no silent gap between tracks, decrease the level
setting.
Notes:
This setting is enabled for digital recordings and
analog recordings other than CDs, MDs, and
DATs.
This setting cannot be made during recording.
Even if adjusted, the tracks may not be
numbered properly.
