Synchronous recording from an MD
recorder or tape deck to the CDR-
201A.
Preparation
• Turn on the CDR-201A (see page 20).
• Place the MD or cassette in the MD deck or tape
deck. (Refer to the instruction manual for the
MD-101A or K-501A.)
• Place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW in the CDR-
201A (see page 20).
1 Repeatedly press the INPUT button
until "Analog In" appears.

4 Adjust the recording level.
Refer to page 24, step 4 "Adjust the recording
level."
5 Stop the playback of the MD or tape.
Notes:
• When recording from an MD recorder or a tape
deck, select "Analog In."
• Synchronous recording cannot be performed
when "Digital In 2" or "Digital In 1" is selected.
2 Start playback of an MD or tape.
3 Press the o REC button (or the remote
controller REC o button).
"Rec Setup" appears in the display followed by
the time display (the recording standby state).
When the CDR-201A finishes
The MD or tape deck automatically returns to the
recording standby state.
To stop the synchronous recording
Stop play at the CDR-201A.
2 Press the n button (or the remote
controller s button).
The CDR-201A begins playback and the MD or
tape deck begins recording.
Synchronous recording from the
CDR-201A to an MD recorder or tape
deck
Preparation
• Turn on the CDR-201A (see page 20).
• Place the MD or cassette for recording in the
MD deck or tape deck. (Refer to the instruction
manual for the MD-101A or K-501A.)
• Place the CD, CD-R or CD-RW to be recorded in
the CDR-201A (see page 20).
1 Put the MD recorder or tape deck in its
recording standby state.

6 Press the s button at the MD recorder
or tape deck.
The MD recorder or tape deck starts playing and
recording starts at the CDR-201A.
When the MD or tape finishes
The CDR-201A automatically returns to the
recording standby state.
To stop the synchronous recording
Stop play at the MD or tape deck.
