SRC
The CDR510 can perform SRC (Sample Rate
Conversion) on an incoming digital signal for
recording. The CDR510 is capable of handling
digital sources from 11 kHz up to 56 kHz.

3. Push and release the REC LEVEL/SELECT
control. ON or OFF is displayed.
4. Turn the REC LEVEL/SELECT control to
toggle between ON and OFF.
5. When correct push and release the REC
LEVEL/SELECT control. SRC is displayed
again.
6. Turn the REC LEVEL/SELECT control to
switch to other menu choices or press and
release the CANCL/DELETE button to exit
menu mode.
The CDR510 monitors the incoming digital
signal to check if the signal is 44.1 kHz (±100
ppm). If SRC is ON or OFF and the incoming
signal meets these criteria, the CDR510
records the signal. If SRC is ON and the
incoming signal fails these criteria, the sample
rate converter is automatically turned on and
recording continues. If SRC is OFF and the
incoming signal fails these criteria, silence is
recorded.
If the recording source is a special disc such
as HDCD or DTS, you have to
• set SRC to OFF (if set to ON some data
may be lost)
• set source sampling frequency to 44.1 kHz
• use a digital connection
• set the digital recording volume (REC
LEVEL / SELECT control) of the CDR510
to 0 dB
Note
If the source has tracks recorded at differing
sample frequencies, noise might be recorded
when the sampling rate changes.
How to turn SRC ON or OFF
1. With the CDR drive selected push and
release the MENU/STORE button.
2. Turn the REC LEVEL/SELECT control until
SRC is displayed.
