Track information in the audio source such as a
CD being dubbed is not recorded.
AUTO TRACK ON
When AUTO TRACK is ON and you are record-
ing from a digital source with user data (track
information from a source with a SPDIF connec-
tion) the track information is recorded.
When AUTO TRACK is ON and the digital
source does not include track ids, the CDR510
will use a silence gap to mark a track.
A track can also be incremented by pressing and
releasing the TR. INCR button on the IR remote,
incrementing the track via the RC-5 signal, or
RS-232C control, or by pressing and releasing
the Record button
on the CDR510 or the REC
button on the IR remote. See table on page
32.
Silence gap
With Auto Track ON, when a (silence gap) is
detected for more than 2 seconds, the CDR510
will increment a new track when signal is
detected at the threshold levels outlined below.

AUTO TRACK
AUTO TRACK can be either ON or OFF.
AUTO TRACK OFF
When AUTO TRACK is OFF only manual tracks
are recorded by pressing and releasing the TR.
INCR button on the IR remote, incrementing the
track via the RC-5 signal, or RS-232C control, or
by pressing and releasing the Record button
on
the CDR510 or the REC button on the IR
remote.
How to turn AUTO TRACK ON or OFF
1. With the CDR drive selected push and re-
lease the MENU/STORE button.
2. Turn the REC LEVEL/SELECT control until
AUTO TRACK is displayed.

3. Push and release the REC LEVEL/SELECT
control. ON or OFF is displayed.
4. Turn the REC LEVEL/SELECT control to
toggle between ON and OFF.

If AUTO STOP is also ON no more than 20 sec-
onds of silence will be recorded from an analog
source and 4 seconds from a digital source.
The chart below will help identify how a source will
be handled by the AUTO TRACK system.
5. When correct push and release the REC
LEVEL/SELECT control. AUTO TRACK is
displayed again.
6. Turn the REC LEVEL/SELECT control to
switch to other menu choices or press and
release the CANCL/DELETE button to exit
menu mode.
