You can listen to a radio station either by
selecting a preset station, or by manually tuning
in the station.
Listening to a preset radio
station
— Preset Tuning
Before tuning to preset stations, be sure to preset
them first (see “Presetting radio stations” on
page 58).
1 Press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly until
“TUNER FM” or “TUNER AM” appears
in the display (or press TUNER/BAND
on the unit repeatedly to select “FM” or
“AM”).
2 Press PRESET +/– repeatedly to select
the preset station you want.
Listening to a non-preset
radio station
— Manual Tuning
1 Press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly until
“TUNER FM” or “TUNER AM” appears
in the display (or press TUNER/BAND
on the unit repeatedly to select “FM” or
“AM”).
2 Press TUNING +/– repeatedly to tune in
the station you want.
Tips
• For preset tuning, you can use the numeric buttons to
select a preset station. Press the numeric button(s) to
enter the preset number and then press ENTER.
• To improve broadcast reception, adjust the supplied
antennas or connect a commercially available
external antenna.
• When an FM stereo program has static noise, press
FM MODE repeatedly until “MONO” lights up in
the display. There will be no stereo effect, but the
reception will improve.
• To record the radio programs, see “Recording onto a
tape manually” (page 63) or “Timer recording radio
programs” (page 74).
