Dimming the display
You can choose between four brightness for the front
panel display. Note that when selecting sources, the
display automatically brightens for a few seconds.
• From the remote control amplifier menu, press
DISPLAY DIMMER repeatedly to change the
brightness of the front panel display.
You may need to press on the Home menu ( )
first before reaching the amplifier menu screen shown
below (use the / (cursor left/right) soft keys to go to
the previous/next menu screen).
Switching the speaker impedance
• Default setting: Speaker 6ΩΩ
ΩΩ
You can use speakers with a nominal impedance
between 4–16Ω but if you are using speakers with an
impedance of less than 6Ω, you must change the
impedance setting below.
• With the amplifier in standby, press STANDBY/
ON while holding down the OPTION – button.
Each time you do this, you switch between the
impedance settings:
• Speaker 4ΩΩ
ΩΩ
– Use this setting if your speakers are
rated lower than 6Ω (down to 4Ω).
• Speaker 6ΩΩ
ΩΩ
– Use this setting if your speakers are
rated 6Ω–16Ω.
Note
• If you select Speaker 4ΩΩ
ΩΩ
above, the Stream Direct
setting is fixed at SD:1 NORMAL (see Using the
Stream Direct mode on page 43).
