Returning to the menu display
Ending the menu playback
When the menu has a hierarchical structure
When items are selected on the menu display during playback of a VIDEO CD (with PBC), another menu with
more detailed choices may be displayed. A number of menus may be connected in this way in steps, and this is
called a hierarchical structure. The desired scene can be reached by repeated item selection on the menu display.
Example of a hierarchical structure

When an item is selected on the menu
display using the SELECT key or the nu-
meric key, you advance to the next lower
menu layer. When the advance destina-
tion is the "scene" to be played, the con-
tents will be played.
Each time the RETURN key is pressed,
you return to the next higher layer of
the hierarchy.
