When playback of the source is started, the All-track synchro
recording starts.
When the SYNC indicator is flashing (all-track synchro recording standby), or during all-
track synchro recording, if the input signal is interrupted or the source is switched to a
source for which auto synchro recording is not possible, the all-track synchro recording
mode will be canceled and the unit will enter the record-pause mode.

C. Automatic finalization recording
This operation automatically performs finalization after an
all-track recording (only S/P DIF). Finalization is the final
process in recording a CD-R or CD-RW disc that is playable
on standard CD players.
However, CD-RW discs, whether finalized or not, can only
be played back on a CD-RW disc player. See page 31 for
details.

Load a CD-R or CD-
RW disc containing
a recordable space.
For a disc loading, refer to
page 15.
• After loading the disc, check that
the CD-R or CD-RW indicator
stops blinking and starts to light
steadily.
In case it does not light steadily,
refer to page 42.

When the source playback standby continues for more than 1
minute during an ALL-TRACK SYNCHRO RECORDING, the
recorder assumes that the recording has stopped and finali-
zation starts automatically.
• It usually takes about 4 minutes until the finalization completes.
• See page 31 for details.
• The finalize-standby mode can be cancelled by pressing the stop ( ) button or FINAL-
IZE button while the unit is in the finalize-standby mode.
• Operating buttons do not respond when finalization has begun.
• Operation stops automatically without performing finalization when no more recording
time remains or when there are 99 or more tracks.
