Special playback features
Playing programs
Function : CD
CD
Up to 25 tracks can be programmed.
Use
<
JOG DIAL
>
or [
DD HH
] to select the name of the
track to be programmed, then press ENTER.
• The number in the program is displayed to the left of the track
name.
Repeat this operation until you have programmed all the desired
tracks.
Press [PROG].
• “PROG” is displayed.

• The tracks are played in the programmed order.

¢Checking the order of the programmed tracks:
In the stop mode, press [CALL].
• The track names are displayed in the programmed order.
¢Clearing programmed tracks:
Press [CLEAR].
•The program at the position of the cursor is cleared.
¢Stopping programmed playback:
In the stop mode, press [PROG].
NOTE:
• The program is cleared if the disc tray is opened.
Playing in random order
Function : HDD or CD

In the stop mode, press [RANDOM].
• “RANDOM” is displayed.

¢Stopping random playback:
In the stop mode, press [RANDOM].
• The “RANDOM” indicator is off.
• When the function is set to , random playback is
possible by genre, artist, or album.
• If [REPEAT] is pressed during random playback, the tracks are played
once in a random order, then played again in a different random
order.
• The files played randomly differ according to the music file playback
mode.
· In the folder mode: Files in selected folder and folders underneath
it
· In the disc mode: All the files on the disc

NOTE:
• When the random mode is set during programmed playback, the
program is cleared.
• When the random mode is set in the single track repeat mode,
the mode switches to all-track repeat.

Set a CD-R/CD-RW disc containing music files in
MP3 or WMA format in the disc tray ( page 4).

• The track or file name is displayed and playback starts.
The track name, artist name and album name are only displayed
if they are recorded on the disc.
The folder name and file name are displayed if the track name,
artist name and album name are not recorded on the disc.
Use [TIME/DISPLAY] to switch the contents displayed on the first
line.

• When a copyright-protected file or a file that cannot be played
properly is selected, “Can’t Play” is displayed. Select a different file.
NOTE:
•Programmed playback is not possible with discs containing files
in MP3 or WMA format.
• The time may not be displayed properly if the search or pause
operation is performed while playing files recorded with a
variable bit rate.
Playing files

Press BACK to display the list, then use [

select the folder or file.
