BitDefender allows excluding objects from on-access or on-demand scanning, or from
both. This feature is intended to decrease scanning times and to avoid interference
with your work.
Two types of objects can be excluded from scanning:
■ Paths - the file or the folder (including all the objects it contains) indicated by a
specified path will be excluded from scanning.
■ Extensions - all files having a specific extension will be excluded from scanning.
Note
The objects excluded from on-access scanning will not be scanned, no matter if they
are accessed by you or by an application.
To see and manage the objects excluded from scanning, click Antivirus>Exceptions
in the settings console. The following window will appear:
