2. Getting Started
Once you have installed BitDefender your computer is protected. You can open the
BitDefender Security Center to check the system security status, take preventive
measures or fully configure the product at any time.
To access the BitDefender Security Center, use the Windows Start menu, by following
the path Start → Programs → BitDefender 2008 → BitDefender Antivirus 2008 or
quicker, double click the BitDefender icon in the system tray.
BitDefender Security Center
The BitDefender Security Center contains two areas:
■ The Status area: contains information about and helps you fix the security
vulnerabilities of your computer. You can easily see how many issues might affect
your computer. By clicking the corresponding red Fix All Issues button your
computer's vulnerabilities will be solved on the spot or you will be guided to easily
fix them. At the same time, four status buttons corresponding to four security
categories are available. Green status buttons indicate that there is no risk. Yellow
