NAVIGATING AND EDITING MACROS
The six Front Panel Buttons each have multiple functions, depending upon the ISM4 Mode. The following
sections detail those functions within the different modes. An understanding of the button presses will help make
the programming process easier. For the actual programming instructions, see Section: Programming Macros.
Normal Operating Mode
In Normal Operating Mode the Front Panel Buttons are typically not used. They are used in this mode to clone a
new ISM4 and to enter Edit Mode.

PREV In Normal Operating Mode, press for 2 seconds (Indicated by the first blink of the Active Source
LED) to initiate the Macro Table Clone Process. This will transfer the programming from one ISM4
to another. Macro Table Clone requires that both units are properly connected via their RS232
Ports. All Source LED’s will rapid flash green during the Macro Table Clone Process.
SEQUENCE In Normal Operating Mode, press for 2 seconds (Indicated by the first blink of the Active Source
LED) to put the ISM4 into Edit Mode. By default, the Source 1 and Program LED’s will illuminate
green to indicate Edit Mode.
In Normal Operating Mode the other Front Panel Buttons have no functions.
In Normal Operating Mode, a Source LED will illuminate solid green when the associated Sense Input ‘sees’ a
Sensor Control Voltage from a connected Sensor Module when the sensed source is ON and turn off when the
Sensor Control Voltage is cut when that same source is OFF.
