1. Connecting a digital audio player
Listening to the sound of a Kenwood digital audio player
[Connecting a model compatible with digital audio link]
Use the special cable to connect the D.AUDIO IN terminal of this unit with
the headphone terminal of the Kenwood digital audio player.
[Connecting to any other digital audio player]
Use a commercial cord with stereo mini plugs to connect the D.AUDIO IN
terminal of this unit and the headphone terminal of the digital audio player.
When connecting a digital audio player, first switch off the
power for the digital audio player and for this unit before mak-
ing the connection.
Then switch on both units.
÷ The D.AUDIO IN terminal is only for connection of digital audio players. Con-
nect only compatible portable equipment.

Set the input to D.AUDIO
When this unit is connected with a special cable to a Kenwood digital audio player compatible with digital
audio link, the digital audio player can be operated from this unit or its remote control.

Turn the INPUT SEL./MULTI CONTROL knob to select
“D.AUDIO”. [press the INPUT SELECTOR key on the remote].
[Connecting a model compatible with digital audio link]
÷ When the D.AUDIO 6 key on the remote control is pressed, switching to
digital audio is done and playback starts.
