Setting the ECO (Ecology) Mode
Setting the ECO mode allows you to reduce power
consumption by turning the display off while on
standby.
While the System is on standby...
On the remote:
ECO OFF
ECO ON
(while holding...)
On the main unit:
ECO OFF
ECO ON
Changing the Picture Tone
While showing a playback picture on the TV, you can
select a preset picture tone, or adjust it and store your
own preference.
To select a preset picture tone
1 While playing, display VFP setting screen.
On the TV
2 Select a preset picture tone.
NORMAL
Normally select this.
CINEMA
Suitable for a movie source.
USER1/USER2
You can adjust parameters and
can store the settings. (See the
next page.)
To clear the screen, press VFP again.
Presetting Automatic DVD Sound
Increase Level
DVD sound is sometimes recorded at a lower level than
other discs and sources. You can set the increase level
for the currently loaded DVD, so you do not have to
adjust the volume when you change the source.
This only functions for DVD Video and DVD-VR.
While “DVD/CD” is selected as the source...
As the number increases, the DVD sound level is
increased.
Changing the Display Brightness
You can dim the display.
While the System is turned on...
DIMMER 1
DIMMER 2
DIMMER OFF
AUTO DIMMER
(while holding...)
DIMMER 1
Dims the display and turns off the
blue illumination on the main unit.
DIMMER 2
Dims the display more than
DIMMER 1 and turns off the blue
illumination on the main unit.
AUTO
DIMMER
Dims the display automatically to
the same level as DIMMER 2 when
moving pictures or still pictures are
being played back.
DIMMER OFF
Normal brightness.
