Setting the Daily Timer
Using Daily Timer, you can wake up with your favorite
music.
Finish the timer setting at least 2 minutes before the
on-time.
To exit the timer settings, press CLOCK/TIMER
(while holding SHIFT) as required.
To correct a mis-entry during process, press
CANCEL (while holding SHIFT). You can go back to
the previous step.
How Daily Timer works
Once the Daily Timer has been set, the timer
indicator (
) is lit on the display. Daily Timer is
activated at the same time everyday until the timer is
turned off manually (see “To turn on or off the Daily
Timer” on page 55).
When the on-time comes
The System turns on, tunes in to the specified
station or starts playing from the specified source,
and gradually increases the volume level to the
preset level after about 30 seconds.
While Daily Timer is working, the timer indicator
(
) flashes on the display.
When the off-time comes
The System stops playback, and turns off (on
standby) automatically.
The timer setting remains in memory until you
change it.
1 Select the timer setting mode.

When the clock has not been set, pressing
CLOCK/TIMER makes the System enter the
clock setting mode (see page 20).
