Switching audio control modes
Various audio control modes may be fine-tuned by following this procedure.
Modes will switch in the order shown below each time the button is pressed.
When the Sound mode is set to the Advance mode:

When the Sound mode is set to the Normal mode:
VOL BASS MID TREB BAL FAD NON-F SVC
*1: Adjustments cannot be made when the position selector or CS II is ON.
*2: Setting cannot be made in FM mode.

Press the [AUDIO CONTROL] button for less than one second to select the item
to be adjusted.
Mode Function
[AUDIO CONTROL] button
Turn to the Left Turn to the Right
VOL (VOLUME) Adjusts volume.
Decreases the
volume.
Increases the
volume.
BASS
Adjusts bass level. Bass mode can be
adjusted for each source (CDP/CDC, FM,
AM and Memory stick player).
Softens low sounds.
Emphasizes low
sounds.
MID (MIDDLE)
Adjusts middle level. Mid mode can be
adjusted for each source (CDP/CDC, FM,
AM and Memory stick player).
Softens medium
sounds.
Emphasizes medium
sounds.
TREB (TREBLE)
Adjusts treble level. Treble mode can be
adjusted for each source (CDP/CDC, FM,
AM and Memory stick player).
Softens high sounds.
Emphasizes high
sounds.
BAL (BALANCE)
Adjusts left/right speaker balance.
Emphasizes left
speakers.
Emphasizes right
speakers.
FAD (FADER) Adjusts front/rear speaker balance.
Emphasizes rear
speakers.
Emphasizes front
speakers.
NON-F (NON-FADER)
Adjusts non-fader level (for connected
sub-woofers, etc.).
Decreases level. Increases level.
SVC (Source Volume
Control)
Adjusts different volume levels for each
audio mode. When SVC is set, the
volume level can change as shown in the
example settings in the table on the next
page.
Decreases the SVC
setting level.
Increases the SVC
setting level.
