ESN security operating procedure
About ESN
This main unit is equipped with ESN (Eclipse Security Network). A pre-registered music CD (Key CD),
four-digit security code, or a Memory Stick on which all the main unit functions will not operate, even by
turning the ignition switch to the ACC or ON position or reconnecting the battery after turning the
ignition switch off or disconnecting the battery during maintenance.
ESN can be set or canceled using any of the following methods:
Key CD security (See page 35)
You can record a specific CD that you have as a "Key CD" with the main unit, and this CD can
then be used to set and cancel the security settings.
Memory Stick security (See page 38)
You can record a Memory Stick and a secret code (security code) with the main unit, and this
Memory Stick or secret code (security code) can then be matched with the main unit to set and
cancel the security settings.
ACC security (See page 42)
This method can only be used when Memory Stick security has already been set. When ACC
security is set, button operations are disabled when the ignition switch is turned to OFF and
then back to ACC.
