Playback
Setting the Sleep Timer
Use this function to automatically switch the power to the
standby mode after a specific amount of time (minutes).

Set the current time (vpage 22).
: “SETUP” – “TIMER” –
“Set Time” (vpage 22)

During playback, use [SLEEP] to select the time.
The "SLEEP" indicator flashes.

b After about 4 seconds, the “SLEEP” indicator stops flashing,
remaining lit, and the settings are automatically entered.

The power is set to the standby mode after the set
amount of time.
Canceling the sleep timer
Press [SLEEP] until the “SLEEP” indicator turns off.
b The sleep timer can also be canceled by setting the S-302's power
to the standby mode using ON/STANDBY.
Checking the time remaining until the sleep timer
starts
In the stop mode, press [STATUS].
The time is displayed.
b The time can be displayed by pressing [STATUS] when the power is
in the standby mode. (When this is done, the set is no longer in the
low power consumption standby mode.)
When pressed twice while the time is displayed, the display turns
off and the set is put back in the low power consumption standby
mode.
If the sleep timer and everyday timer settings overlap, the sleep
timer has priority.

Adjusting the Tone

Select the adjustment mode using [TONE].

With the name of the item to be adjusted selected,
press [o p] to adjust the level.
[Selectable mode]
If no operation is performed within 4 seconds, the display switches
back to what was previously displayed.
Turning the Sound Off Temporarily
(Muting)
Press [MUTE].
To cancel, either press [MUTE] again or adjust the volume using
VOLUME.
BASS
:
Adjusts the bass sound (-10 dB to +10 dB).
TREBLE
:
Adjusts the treble sound (-10 dB to +10 dB).
DEFEAT
:
The tone adjustment circuitry can be bypassed to achieve high sound
quality. ”0dB“
