Playback
To only preset
q Press [MEMO] while the broadcast station is tuned in.
w Select the number using [ui], then press [ENTER].
Or use [NUMBER] (0 ~ 9, +10) to select the number.
NOTE
If a station is preset at a number that has already been preset, the old
settings are deleted and replaced with the new settings.
Automatically Presetting FM Stations
(Auto preset)
Up to 60 stations can be preset.

Use <FUNCTION> or [FM/AM] to select “TUNER”.

Press and hold in <1>.
“AUTO PRESET?” and “–:NO/+:START” are displayed alternately.
b Press <–> to cancel auto presetting.

Press <+>.
“SEARCH” flashes, then “COMPLETED” is displayed.
• Broadcast stations whose antenna signal are weak cannot be preset
automatically. If you wish to preset such stations, tune them in
manually.
• Once auto presetting starts, it cannot be canceled (it takes about 60
seconds to be completed).
Listening to Preset Stations
To stop the auto tuning
Press <+/–>, [TUNING +/–] or [o p].
Manual tuning
The reception frequency changes each time <+/–>, [TUNING +/–] or
[o p] is pressed.
Naming the Currently Tuned in Broadcast
Station and Presetting it
Up to 60 stations (total for AM and FM) can be preset.
Names of up to 8 characters can be input.

Tune in the broadcast station

Press [MEMO] twice.
The name input mode is set.

Use [ui] to select the character , then press
[ENTER].
b Characters that can be input.
A to Z, 0 to 9 + [CALL] for small letters
! “ # $ % & ’ ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ˆ _ { ¦ } (space)
b Press [o p] to move the cursor.
Use this to correct input characters.
b To cancel character input, press [MEMO].
Everything that has been input is canceled.

Once you are nished inputting, press [ENTER].
“P0 –” flashes on the preset number display.

Use [ui] to select the number, then press [ENTER].
Or use [NUMBER] (0 ~ 9, +10) to select the number.
The preset number, reception band and reception frequency are
displayed, then the name of the broadcast station appears.
Changing the broadcast station name
q Call out the preset name you want to change, then press [MEMO]
twice.
w Perform steps 3 and 4 at “Naming the currently tuned in broadcast
station and presetting it”.
Use <+/–>, [CHANNEL] or [NUMBER] (0 ~ 9, +10) to select
the preset number.
b Operate <+/–> after switching to the preset mode (vpage 315).
