DriveRack
This Application guide section is provided to offer suggested installation applications of the
DriveRack™ units that will allow you to optimize peak performance of the units. Note that the
six included applications represent the extensive flexibility of the DriveRack™ units. These
applications can be used verbatim, or as sample reference guides for designing countless audio
applications.
Hardware
Note Make sure that all outputs are muted on the DriveRack™ prior to adding power to any
devices in the signal path (pre and post DriveRack™).
1. Connect the outputs from the mixer to the inputs of the DriveRack™.
2. Connect the outputs of the DriveRack™ and run to the selected speaker amplifier.
3. Connect the RTA microphone to either input 3 or 4 of the DriveRack™.
4. Connect the optional 480R to the DriveRack™ via the network connector.
5. Making sure that all outputs are muted, apply power to the mixer and amplifiers.
Software
1. From Program/Config mode, select the desired configuration by using the PARAMETER 1
knob to scroll through the Program/Configuration menu. For more information on config-
uration procedures, please see section 3.
2. From Program mode, use either the selected effect editing button or the PARAMETER 2
and 3 knobs to access and edit the desired parameter. For more information on parame-
ters, please see section 4.
3. Press the OTHER button to access the input and output level controls of the unit.
Successive presses of the OTHER button will move you through the four input and eight
outputs of the unit.
4. From Program mode, press the RTA button and use the RTA to aid in optimizing the room
settings. For more information on RTA and pink noise, please see section A.10 of the
Appendix
