For Virtual Cinema DSP, the VIRTUAL indicator lights up in the CinemaStation Display.
In the cases below, even if “* SUR.” is set to “NON” in the SET MENU, Virtual Cinema DSP does not function.
When you select the following DSP Programs: 5ch Stereo; PL Normal; Dolby Digital Normal or DTS Normal; PL II Movie or
PL II Music.
When sound field effects are off (Stereo Playback).
When a digital audio sampling frequency over 48 kHz is input.
When using a test tone.
When listening through headphones.
Since Virtual Cinema DSP processes the sound input
source, you can virtually reproduce surround speakers,
and enjoy a DSP Program with only your Front L/R
Speakers.
Play the source.
Press AMP.
Select a DSP Program.
Set * SUR. to NON in the SET MENU. See
page 63, Setting the Speaker Mode.
