Solutions to Common Problems
Be sure to check the points below if CinemaStation doesn’t seem to be
working normally for you. If you notice something wrong that is not listed
below and you have already tried some solutions with no success, turn off
the CinemaStation power, remove the power plug from the outlet and contact
the store where you purchased the product or your nearest YAMAHA sound
products service center and ask for assistance.
General Problems
Power turns on but immediately shuts off.
1 The power plug is not completely plugged
in.
Insert the plug into the outlet firmly.
2 Speaker cable is shorted. When power is
turned on, the protective circuit engages and
shuts the system down.
Make sure that all speaker cables are
correctly connected.
3 CinemaStation received a strong, external
electric shock such as from a lightening bolt
or excessive static electricity.
Put CinemaStation in standby, pull out the
electric cord then wait for about 30 seconds
before reinserting the cord and turning on
the power again.
4 The system cable is not connected properly.
Connect the system cable securely.
No sound.
1 You did not connect the cable properly.
Check your connections.
2 The source you selected is not suitable for
playback.
Choose the correct source using the Input
Selection buttons.
3 You did not connect the Speaker cable
properly.
Check your speaker connections.
4 You turned the sound volume down.
Turn the sound volume up.
5 Sound is muted.
Press MUTE or VOLUME +/- to regain the
sound and adjust the volume to your liking.
6 You inserted a CD-ROM that CinemaStation
cannot play.
Play a source signal that CinemaStation can
play.
No picture.
You did not connect the cable properly.
Check your connections.
The audio suddenly decreased.
The Sleep Time function started working.
Turn the power back on and try playing the
source again.
Sound is too low on one side.
You did not connect the cable properly.
Check your connections.
