Using a Punch-through Function
This remote control unit may be programmed to operate
either “RECEIVER volume punch-through” or “TV volume
and/or TV channel punch-through” in conjunction with any of
the eight components controlled by this remote control unit.
For example, since this receiver will likely be used as the
sound system controller while watching TV, you may want to
adjust this receiver’s volume although this remote control is
set to control the TV. Controlling the Receiver volume level
while the remote is set to operate the TV is referred to a
“Punch-Through”.
RECEIVER volume punch-through:
To program “RECEIVER volume punch-through”, press and
hold down both the RECEIVER button and the VOLUME(+)
button for more than 1 second.
To delete the punch-through, press and hold down both the
RECEIVER button and the VOLUME (–) button for more than 1
second.
TV volume punch-through:
To program “TV volume punch-through”, press and hold
down both the TV button and the VOLUME (+) button for
more than 1 second.
To delete the punch-through, press and hold down both the
TV button and the VOLUME (–) button for more than 1
second.
TV channel punch-through:
To program “TV channel punch-through”, press and hold
down both the TV button and the CH/LEVEL (+) button for
more than 1 second.
To delete the punch-through, press and hold down both the
TV button and the CH/LEVEL (–) button for more than 1
second.

If programming or deleting is performed successfully, the LED
will flicker twice.
< If you want to delete all punch-through functions, press and
hold down both the RECEIVER button and the AUTO button
for more than 1 second:
Note:
You can program only one “volume punch-through”.
Program either “RECEIVER volume punch-through” or “TV
volume punch-through”.
