CD Operation Section
L
key
During playback or playback
standby, press this key continuously for review play-
back (search).
When an MP3 disc is in the deck during stop mode,
if this key is pressed, the directory can be chosen
(backward direction).
M
key
During playback or playback
standby, press this key continuously for cue playback
(search).
When an MP3 disc is in the deck during stop mode,
if this key is pressed, the directory can be chosen
(forward direction).
N
KEY key
This turns the Key Change function
on and off. When it is on, the musical key of CD
playback can be changed. Key change settings can be
performed from the CD menu. Refer to “Changing
the key of playback” on page 31. Even when the
power is turned off, the key change settings are
retained.
O
key
During normal playback, use this
key to skip through tracks in the reverse direction for
selection, or for review playback (search). During
stop mode, press this key to skip through tracks back-
wards, or press it continuously to skip at high speed.
During playback, press this key to skip back to the
start of the track in play.
P
key
During normal playback, use this
key to skip through tracks in the forward direction
for selection, or for cue playback (search). During
stop mode, press this key to skip through tracks for-
wards, or press it continuously to skip at high speed.
During playback, press this key to skip to the start of
the next track.
Q
STOP ( ) key
Operation is the same as with
the STOP key on the CD operation section of the
unit.
R
PLAY ( ) key
Operation is the same as with
the PLAY key on the CD operation section of the
unit.
S
READY ( ) key
Operation is the same as
with the READY key on the CD operation section of
the unit.
MD Operation Section
T
EDIT key
During normal operation, Menu
mode and Title Input mode, press this key to enter
MD Edit mode. Refer to “MiniDisc editing” on page
41.
When this key is pressed during MD Edit mode, the
unit returns to normal operation mode.
U
TITLE key
During normal operation, Menu
mode and MD Edit mode, press this key to enter Title
Input mode. Refer to “Title input” on page 45.
When this key is pressed during Title Input mode, the
unit returns to normal operation mode.
V
CHARA key
During Title Input mode, press
this key to switch between types of input characters.
Refer to “Title input” on page 45.
The type of character selected is indicated by the dis-
play.
Lower case letters/code: no indication
Capital letters/code: CAPS
Japanese:
W
SYNC key
This key is used to turn SYNC
recording on or off. When on, recording is automati-
cally started and stopped depending upon the input
signal level. Refer to “Sync recording” on page 39.
When on, the SYNC indicator in the display lights
up.
X
key
During playback or playback
standby, press this key continuously for review play-
back (search).
