Note that construction work for the installation of all Tannoy products must be done to local building codes by
qualified, licensed installers. A local building inspector should approve any ove rhead installations. Ta nnoy assumes
no liability f or cause and effect of improper installa tion work.

Survey your site and cho ose an installation location.
At this point, you may choose to suspend the subwoofer in free space or in a 2’ space x 2’ space dropped ceiling
grid inst a llati on.

Hanger bolts (Fig. 1). These can be purchased for installation into wood, or into metal,
for e x a mple, w ith a Hilti™ power fast e ning system.
C ou plin g n uts, and Backing nu t s (Fig s. 2 & 3).
•Threadedrod(Fig.4).
•Turnbuckles(Fig.5).
Wire rope, w ire rope nu ts, t himble s, chain, qu ick-link s (Fig s. 5 & 6) .
Wire grid t ie s (Fig . 8 ) .
Note:
For 2 ’ space x 2’ space tile bridge drop in, you w ill require wire grid support ti e s on e ach of t he four corners of
t he grid imme diately beside the subwoofe r. This i s u sually accomplish ed by mea ns of t he same wire support t ie used t o
support the grid and for lightin g fixture s, e tc. IT IS IMPOR

THE BU ILDING’S PERMANENT S TRUCTURE USI NG CHAIN (Fig . 9) OR WIRE ROPE. THIS IS TH E SEISMIC TETHER
POINT.
