Generating a more dynamic
sound (Dynamic Sound
Generator X-tra)
Press DSGX on the unit.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes as follows:
DSGX ON y DSGX OFF
Adjusting the bass and treble
You can adjust the bass and treble to enjoy more
powerful sound.
Use buttons on the unit for the operation.
1 Press BASS/TREBLE repeatedly to
select “BASS” or “TREBLE”.
2 Press . or > repeatedly to adjust
the level.
To exit the bass and treble
settings
If you do not perform any operations for
4 seconds, the display automatically returns to
the original display.
Press SOUND FIELD to select the effect
you want.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:

When playing a Super Audio CD, the sound field is
fixed to “2CH STEREO” or “HP 2CH”.

These sound fields can be selected during DVD
function except when karaoke mode is selected.
HP 2CH: This mode outputs the sound from
headphone L/R. Standard 2 channel (stereo)
sources completely bypass the sound field
processing. Multi channel surround formats
are downmixed to two channels.
HP SURR: This mode outputs sound with
reverberations.
HP VIRTUAL: This mode outputs the sound
as surround from headphone L/R.
VIRTUAL A: Creates 3 sets of virtual
surround speakers from the sound of the
actual front speakers (L/R).
VIRTUAL B: Creates 1 set of virtual
surround speakers from the sound of the front
speakers (L/R) without using actual surround
speakers. This mode is effective when the
distance between the front L and R speakers is
short.
2CH STEREO: This mode outputs the sound
from the left and right speakers. Standard 2
channel (stereo) sources completely bypass
the sound field processing. Multi channel
surround formats are downmixed to two
channels.
This allows you to play any source using the
left and right speakers.
2CH SURR: This mode outputs sound with
reverberations.
