Basic Operations
Playing a CD
To turn on the system, press ?/1 (power).

Stop play Press CD x.
Pause Press CD HS. The S indicator
on the CD HS button lights
orange. Press again to resume play.
Select a track Press MD/CD .m or
M> repeatedly.
Find a point in a
track
Keep pressing MD/CD .m
or M> during play and
release it at the desired point.
“—OVER—” appears at the end
of the CD.
Remove the CD Press CD Z.
Adjust the
volume
Turn VOLUME.
Tips
If you turn on the system when there is a CD on the
disc tray, the CD indicator lights red.
If there is no CD in the player, “CD No Disc”
appears in the display.
Pressing CD HS when the system is off
automatically turns on the system and starts CD
play if there is a CD on the disc tray (One Touch
Play).
You can switch from another source to the CD
player and start playing a CD just by pressing CD
HS (Automatic Source Selection).
You can start playing from the desired track in
step 2.
1 Press MD/CD .m or M> repeatedly
until the desired track appears.
2 Press CD HS.
Or, press the numeric buttons on the remote.
The playback automatically starts. To enter track
numbers 10 or over, press >10 and the track
number. To enter 0, use the 10/0 button.
Notes
Do not use a CD with tape, seals or paste on it as
this may damage the CD player.
Do not push the disc tray to close it, as this may
damage the CD player. Press CD Z to close the
disc tray.
If you press CD Z to open or close the disc tray
while listening to another sound source, the CD
indicator lights red even if there is no CD in the
tray.
To turn off the CD indicator, press FUNCTION
repeatedly to switch the function to CD.

1 Press CD Z and place a CD on the disc
tray.
?/1 (power)
To close the disc tray, press CD Z again.
2 Press CD HS.
The disc tray closes and play starts.
The H indicator on the CD HS button
lights green.
Track number Playing time
With the label side up. When you play a
single CD, place it on the inner circle of the
tray.
