Ambience effects
The setup for surround play can also be performed by
listening to actual music instead of the test tone.
Use the following procedure to adjust surround play while
listening to music.
÷Select the Dolby mode according to the played source and compo-
nent in use.

÷ Switching is not possible when the 6ch INPUT is used.
Select an icon.
(The displayed icons may be variable depending
on the model.)
Each press switches the adjustment items as shown below.
3 BASS :Tone, Bass
4 TREBLE :Tone, Treble
5 L- - - - - - -R :Balance
6 C ch :Center speaker
7 SR ch :Surround speaker, Right
8 SL ch :Surround speaker, Left
9 SW ch :Subwoofer
0 DELAY :Delay time

÷ With the GRC, the adjustment items shown in a single menu can be
adjusted at once. (The adjustment steps 3, 4 and 5 or steps 6, 7,
8 and 9 are provided in a single menu so they can be adjusted
successively without changing the menu screen.)
Adjust the adjustment item.

If no key on the main unit has been pressed for about 5 seconds, the
display on the main unit disappears and it returns to the status
before the setup mode was entered.
The display on the GRC disappears if no key on the GRC has been
pressed for about 10 seconds.
