Convenient functions of disc/file playback
When a disc/file is stopped
1 Press [PLAY/TUNER MODE]
repeatedly to display “RANDOM”
in the display window.
2 Press [DVD/CD 3].
NOTE
Each chapter or track is played back only once.
When a disc/file is stopped
Press [PLAY/TUNER MODE] repeat-
edly to display an item other than
“RANDOM” in the display window
Ejecting the disc also cancels random playback.
When a disc/file is played back
Press [REPEAT].
Each time you press [REPEAT], the repeat
mode changes.

Repeats the whole program during program
playback.

For a DVD VR, “PG” is displayed during original
program playback, and “PL” is displayed during
play list playback.

Repeats the current original program or the cur-
rent play list for a DVD VR.

“STEP” is displayed during program/random
playback.
NOTE
You can also use the menu bar to set repeat
playback. (Refer to page 39.)
You can also specify a part to be played back
repeatedly by using A-B repeat playback. (Refer
to page 40.)
The repeat mode is automatically canceled if
there is a file that cannot be played back.
