Problem
Dolby Digital or DTS
sources cannot he
played. (Dolhy Digital
or DTS indicator in
the front panel
display does not light
up.)
A "humming" sound
can be heard.
The volume level
cannot be increased,
or the sound is
distorted.
The sound effect
cannot be recorded.
A source cannot be
recorded by a digital
recording component
connected to this
DIGITAL OUTPUT
jack.
A source cannot be
recorded by an
analog component
connected to the
AUDIO OUT jacks.
The sound field
parameters and some
other settings on this
unit cannot be
changed.
This unit does not
operate properly.
Cause
Remedy
The connected component is not set to
output Dolby Digital or DTS digital
signals
Tile input mode is set to ANALOG
Make an appropriate setting following the operating
instructions tbryore component
Set the input mode to AUTO or DTS.
Incorrect cable coimections
The componeilt connected to the OUT
(REC) jacks of this unit is turned otl_
Firmly connect the audio plugs If the problem
pmsists, the cables may be defective
Turn on the power to the component
It is not possible to record the sound effect
with a recording component
