x 2-way remote (2 WAY REMOTE)
This receiver is shipped from the factory with
the 2 way remote control system set to “ON”.
Normally, you can use the receiver as is.
However, if you want to use this receiver
together with another component that is also
compatible with the 2 way remote control
system, be sure to perform the following
operation to limit response to signals sent from
the remote controls.
First select one component for the 2 way
remote control, then set the 2 way remote
control system for the component to “ON”. For
other components, set the 2 way remote control
system to “OFF”. With these settings, the
component for which the 2 way remote control
system is set to “OFF” cannot be used.
Therefore, connect the CONTROL A1 jacks
of both components with monaural (2P) mini-
plug cord.
x Selecting the command mode of the
remote (COMMAND MODE)
Lets you select the command mode of the
remote. Change the command mode when you
use 2 Sony receivers in the same room.
x Test tone mode (T.TONE)
Lets you select the test tone output mode
(page 25).
• “NORMAL” output the test tone from each
speaker in sequence.
• “PHASE NOISE” output the test tone from two
adjacent speakers at a time in sequence.
• “PHASE AUDIO” output the source sound
instead of the test tone from two adjacent
speakers at a time in sequence.

SYSTEM)
Lets you select the color system of your TV
monitor.

Lets you select the color of the on-screen
display.

Lets you adjust the position of the on-screen
