Using the CD-ROM Manual
The supplied CD-ROM contains operating instructions
for the CDP-D12 (in English, Japanese, French,
German, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese).
CD-ROM system requirements
The following are required to access the supplied CD-
ROM disc.
Computer: PC with MMX Pentium 166 MHz or
faster CPU, or Macintosh computer with Power PC
CPU
Installed memory: 64 MB or more
CD-ROM drive: ×8 or faster
Monitor: Monitor supporting a resolution of 800 ×
600 or higher
When these requirements are not met, access to the
CD-ROM disc may be slow, or not possible at all.
Preparations
The following software must be installed on your
computer in order to use the documents contained in
the CD-ROM disc.
Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 4.0 or higher or
Netscape Navigator Version 4.0 or higher
Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 4.0 or higher
Notes
If Microsoft Internet Explorer is not installed, it may
be downloaded from the following URL:

Reading the CD-ROM manual
To read the operating instructions contained in the CD-
ROM disc, do the following.
1 Insert the CD-ROM disc in your CD-ROM drive.
A cover page appears automatically in your
browser.
If it does not appear automatically in the browser,
double-click the [index.htm] file on the CD-ROM
disc.
2 Select and click the operating instructions that you
want to read.
A PDF file of the operating instructions opens.
Note
If you lose the CD-ROM disc or become unable to
read its content, for example, because of a hardware
failure, contact a Sony service representative.
