x AUDIO DRC (AUDIO DYNAMIC RANGE
COMPRESSION)
Narrows the DYNAMIC range of the
sound track.
Useful for watching movies at low volume late
at night.
Note
DYNAMIC range compression only applies to Dolby
Digital sources.
x DATA CD PRIORITY (MP3, JPEG only)
Set priority data you want to play, when you
play a DATA CD (CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW)
containing MP3 audio tracks and JPEG image
files.
Notes
• When you play Multi Session CDs, the
receiver decides a target to play for the last
session or session linked with the last session.
• If you change this setting, reinsert the disc.
x JPEG DATE
Change the date information order of a JPEG
image in the Control Menu.
YYYY: Year
MM: Month
DD: Day
To obtain the best possible surround sound, set
for the size of the speakers you have connected
and their distance from your listening position.
Then use the test tone to adjust the level and the
balance of the speakers to the same level.
Select “SPEAKER SETUP” in the setup
display. For details, see “Using the Setup
Display” (page 73).
The default settings are underlined.
To return to the default setting
when changing a setting
Select the item, then press CLEAR.
Only the selected item is returned to the default
setting.
x SIZE
If you use small speakers, do not connect a
center, surround speakers, or surround back
speaker, or move the surround speakers, set the
parameters for FRONT, CENTER,
SURROUND, SURROUND BACK, and
SUBWOOFER.
OFF
No compression of DYNAMIC
range.
STANDARD
Reproduces the sound track with the
kind of DYNAMIC range that the
recording engineer intended.
MAX
Narrows the DYNAMIC range
fully.
MP3
If an MP3 file exists on a disc, the
receiver recognises the disc as an
“MP3 Disc.” If only JPEG files exist
on the disc, the receiver recognises
the disc as a “JPEG Disc.”
JPEG
If a JPEG file exists on the disc, the
receiver recognises the disc as a
“JPEG Disc.” If only MP3 files exist
on the disc, the receiver recognises
the disc as an “MP3 Disc.”
