Selecting a sound field
(A.F.D.button)
Press A.F.D. on the remote repeatedly until
the sound field you want appears in the
front panel display.
x PRO LOGIC
Performs Dolby Pro Logic decoding. A source
recorded in 2 channels is decoded into 4
channels.
x PRO LOGIC II MOVIE
Performs Dolby Pro Logic II Movie mode
decoding. This setting is ideal for movies
encoded in Dolby Surround. In addition, this
mode can reproduce sound in 5.1 channel when
watching videos of old movies or with dubbed
language.
x PRO LOGIC II MUSIC
Performs Dolby Pro Logic II Music mode
decoding. This setting is ideal for standard
stereo sources, such as CDs.
x Neo:6 Cinema
Performs the DTS Neo:6 Cinema mode
decoding.
x Neo:6 Music
Performs the DTS Neo:6 Music mode decoding.
This setting is ideal for standard stereo sources,
such as CDs.
Advanced setting
When a DTS 96/24 signal is input, you can
change the sampling frequency.
1 Press AMP MENU.
Set the function of the remote to DVD, and
then press AMP MENU.
2 Press X/x repeatedly until “dts 96/24”
appears in the front panel display, then
press ENTER.
3 Press X/x to select “96/24 AUTO” then
press ENTER or AMP MENU.
• AUTO: When a DTS 96/24 signal is input,
it is played back at the 96 kHz sampling
frequency.
• OFF: Even when a DTS 96/24 signal is
input, it is played back at the 48 kHz
sampling frequency.
Notes
• When the input signal is a multi-channel source, PRO
LOGIC, PRO LOGIC II MOVIE/MUSIC, and Neo:6
Cinema/Music are cancelled and the multi channel
source is output directly.
• Neo:6 Cinema/Music mode decoding is not available
for DTS 2channel signal.
• When decoding by DTS 96/24 (except A.F.D. mode)
in the sound field, output signals will be converted to
48 kHz (sampling frequency).
• When any speaker is set to “SMALL” or subwoofer
is set to “NONE” in the speaker setting, output
signals will be converted to 48 kHz (sampling
frequency).
